Finally the day arrived for me to capture Jackie and Mike’s Fontainebleau Wedding and it was full of laughter and love.  This was a destination wedding for them and all their friends came down from Canada ready to party! The beautiful Fontainebleau Hotel was the perfect setting for this young, hip and trendy couple.   Jackie and Mike were all about having a good time and truly enjoying their day with friends and family.
Something I love about destination weddings are that everyone that shows up is 100% committed.  There are smaller groups but as a result, more intimate.  The crowds go all out. The wedding day started off amazing!  The sun and clouds were out but… Florida weather is always scary, it can rain at any moment.  In fact, it sprinkled for a moment before the night ceremony but quickly ended and the show went on :).
It was a beautiful ceremony out in the garden. Â Love this venue for my clients because you do have plenty of options where you would want your ceremony. Â Always remember, if you are having an outdoor event, always have a backup plan. Â We got lucky this time and I couldn’t be happier with the out come. Â We had laughs, the day was full of genuine love and laughter. Â Portraits with them were candid and natural. They opted to do a 1st look which I strongly recommended for portraits. Since they had a night time wedding, we wouldn’t be able to utilize natural light areas for The hotel. Plus we would have had no time for portraits so the couple was on board and they didn’t regret it. Â If you are scared that a 1st look ruins the walk down the isle, Mike was in tears as she walked down. Â So don’t think a first look ruins the moment. It just created a new intimate one that nobody regrets. Check out the sneak peek and enjoy!
